I think even getting the results is faster than my old meter.I will say that the test strips and replacement lancets are more expensive that I was used to paying but I shopped around and found a good deal. I never once accidentally poked myself when using the Accu-Check meter. The Accu-Check also seems safer when it comes to holding lancets because they are stored in a container which is loaded in the meter. Even getting lanced was painless unlike my old meter which left a tiny hole. My doctor suggested I try out the Accu-Check and I am so glad that I took his advice.I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Accu-Check seems to require a smaller blood sample than my old meter. I usually went with the ones recommended by the insurance company.
